Maybe its is because I can identify with it all too well.

		<description>I actually *have* considered that-- but with the way people drive around here, I don&#039;t know whether I&#039;d be even remotely safe taking it out on the road. It&#039;s not just depth perception; it&#039;s that my spatial perception is screwy in general-- there have been times when I misidentified which &lt;em&gt;lane&lt;/em&gt; a car was in. And that&#039;s ignoring the tendency to space out when there&#039;s too much visual info to deal with...</description>

It was what I learned to drive on, long ago. Like Larry, I&#039;m essentially one-eyed because of amblyopia in the right eye. I never did have any depth perception, but have learned to make allowances for it. Yes, you&#039;re more &quot;exposed&quot; in case of collision, but knowing that makes you more careful.</description>
